OUR CME PROCESS:

Step 1: Notify us that your are planning an event/series  and are requesting CME:  You can reach the Prairie/HSHS CME team by either emailing us at [email protected] or by calling us at (217)492-9100 ext. 29113. Please provide us with any details specific to the event/series as applicable at the time of contact. We understand that these things take time to plan, so we know that all of the information may not be readily available but as soon as it is, we would love to know and document for CME. Pricing will be discussed with you during this step.

Step 2: CME Application and Planning Worksheet: This is the first item to complete, when applying for CME.  Please login to our site and submit a new application. Once the application is received our CME team will review it and reach out to you if further information is needed. After all information is confirmed, the application will be sent to a team of reviewers which will include the Course Director and Co-Director (if applicable) you put on the application as well as the CME Committee to approve your application.

Step 3: Conflict of Interest (COI) Form: The conflict of interest (COI) form is another requirement of CME, although it is separate from the application.  The COI form will need to be completed by anyone who is involved with presenting or planning information, for the event.  The COI Form is CME’s way of documenting commercial bias (if any) of the presenters and planners.  CME Educational Programs must be free from commercial bias, per the ACCME (our accrediting body).  All presenters and planners will be able to submit their online applications through our CME software. Once these individuals are added to your application, an email will be sent to them prompting them to login and fill out their COI.  In addition to the completed COI Form, the CME staff will also request a CV/Bio for each presenter/planner.
